Panasonic TH-42PF20U or TH-42LF20U for Color Correction

I'm looking to buy a new monitor to monitor color correction in Apple color. I was wondering if anyone had experience with either the Panasonic TH-42PF20U Professional Plasma or the TH-42LF20U LCD model. Both support HDMI1.3a Deep Color (10-bit). The only difference I can tell is the plasma allow expansion boards for HD-SDI and the contrast ratio is much higher on the plasma 5,000,000:1 vs only 2000:1 on the LCD. I've read that plasma works very well for this application, but I was seeing if anyone used the LCD. It will be connected via a Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 3D card via HDMI, for now.

Anyone have any opinion on which would be better, my budget is under $2000. Thanks.
