Multicam audio problem -- I want my single track from one camera back.
Hi, I just finished my multicam edit on FCP 7 with 2 cameras. I set it up to switch back and forth the video AND the audio. the two clips have about 6db between them, so at every edit the sound goes up 6 or down 6 approx.
I want to keep my edits and just switch the sound track to come from a single camera. I have deleted sections in the timeline, so I can't just lay another track over it. Please help!!! I would like to do this in an multiple edit format instead of the one at a time approach because there is over 45 min of edits. thanks in advance. david |

Drag in the audio from your prefered track, sync up the audio and mute the switched audio tracks.

This should help
Step 1: Duplicate your video layer 1 into layer 2 so you now have the same video stacked in 2 layers (highlight v1 - option-shift and drag into v2)
Step 2: Lock Video Layer 2 - This will keep your v2 layer from being affected Step 3: Highlight the entire audio track Step 4: Right click on any part of the audio track and go to "active angle" and select the audio track you want to use. This will change both the audio and video (v1) to the entire sequence. Step 5: Unlock video track 2, select track 2 and drag over track 1. Hope this helps!
