Final Cut 6.0.6. to Final Cut 7 OS question
I finally have to make the move to edit and view my PMW-500 UDF (MXF) 422 50Mb/s 720p over crank clips in Final Cut. My current setup won't do it but I am told Final Cut 7 handles if fine.
Do I need to upgrade my OS from 10.5.8? And yes I am between big projects so no editing at this time is in process. But I am going to need a stable machine that will go right to work after a week long job starting this weekend. Could bring this to the Apple store if needed? |

Hi Paul.
According to Apple's website: Requirements to install all Final Cut Studio applications ... Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later ... Apple - Final Cut Studio - Tech Specs and System Requirements |

Thanks David I did check that out.
Wondering if anyone has kept OS 10.5.8 and is running a stable system with FC 7.0.3? |

Found out the answer today by email.
Mac OS 10.5.8 runs Final Cut Pro 7.0.3 perfectly and it stable. |
