Final Cut Express - Homogenizing Source Formates

I have a Canon 5D Mk II and two JVC GZ-HD10s... How do I shoot with both cameras and reconcile the difference in aspect ratios in Final Cut?

The latest Final Cut Express 4 supports Apple's Open Timeline feature, which allows one to easily drop in any type of files on the timeline and it will conform it the project settings.
