Question about FCP, Studio Pro and QT
I have Studio Pro Ver. 4.2.1 and FCP 6.0.6.
Can someone explain what's going on (the process) when you import the QuickTime files into Studio Pro and burn the DVD ... skipping the adjustments in Compressor process. Does it automatically adjust to the length of the video or is it automatically set for 120 minutes or some other period of time? I had a 70 minute video and I bypassed the Compressor process where you select the length of the DVD - single pass or two pass. It burned without any problems. I was just wondering if there is a default setting where Studio Pro might not accept the file without manually adjusting in Compressor ... like 150 minutes. (I hope that makes sense.) Thanks |

You can go into the DVD Studio Pro preferences and see the minimum and maximum bit rate settings. But yes, it will calculate the compression according to the amount of video you have imported into the project. Beyond 150 minutes is a question I can't answer and wouldn't recommend anyway. Looks bad.
