No audio on preview/log and capture? (FCP & Powerbook)
Hi all - I'm an AvidXpress man in the main, but trying to get to grips with FCP. But I have a problem in that there's no audio in the preview screen of log and capture..
When I'm viewing my rushes in FCP through my deck, but before capture, I can't hear anything, although the audio meters are registering sound. If I capture a clip and then watch it on the timeline, I can hear the audio fine. There must be a way of listening to (as well as seeing) your material before you decide what you what to ingest... I'm assuming I haven't got it set up right... If anyone could make a suggestion I'd be very happy to hear it! Many thanks Damian |

Did you try this?
Go to "Log and Capture". Click the tab "Clip Settings". In the audio section click on the "Preview" box. |

you can also plug headphones into your camera or deck while you capture
