Reconnecting offline media transferred with E1 plugin? at DVinfo.net

I've transcoded some 5D footage using the E1 plugin. I logged it, marked in/out point, and renamed clips. Video was done and I've deleted the transcoded footage and kept the original h.264 files. Now someone ask for it again but with changes. It's not a big deal matching up the clip names but since I marked new in and out points, the clips aren't in the right place when I reconnect the files. Is there any easy way to fix this or should I simply not mark in/out points and rename clips next time I log and transfer? Thanks.
