FCPHD to Quick Time to Cleaner question

If I am exporting a movie in FCPHD, and I use Quick Time (not Quick Time compression) and I am bringing into Cleaner were I would make settings for Quick Time Movie. Do I need any pacific settings when exporting from FCPHD? Not sure on this. Does Cleaner over ride FCPHD settings?

Also when exporting a movie from FCPHD to use in iDVD, what settings should I use in FCPHD for best quality output for iDVD?

Thanks, Ron

For iDVD, you should definitely export using "Current Settings" and including "Audio and Video." This merely maintains the resolution and settings in which you've been editing. This is also what I do when compressing for web or DVD with applications like Cleaner, and I don't think you would gain enough (if anything) for it to be worth the time and disk space to export uncompressed video from FCP (unless, of course, you're editing uncompressed).
