Simply convert 4:3 to W/S

Wow - help please - I've been given some .mov footage that was originally in wide screen but somehow got converted to standard 4:3 format, as everyone looks remarkably thin and trim. I want to burn it to a DVD but clearly need to get it back to w/s.
Having only just got FCP7 suite and busy shooting another project can anyone give me a simple solution please - there has to be one, but I'm kinda busy and need to get this stuff posted back to my friend!
Thanks.

Check the "Anamorphic" option in the sequence settings (right click on the sequence and choose settings).
