Erratic audio behaviour in FCP

Hi,

when layering up several tracks of audio in FCP with volume breakpoint curves on each clip I keep getting problems with the curves not being recognised and / or with sudden jumps in audio levels at the breakpoints themselves. It is hard to say what file or files is causing the issue but it does happen in consistently the same places each time, though only occurs when the sequence is played back from at least few seconds before, not from a few frames, which is odd. Clearly a malfunction / bug - anyone experienced this and found a way round it?

Cheers,

Geoff
