Blur around the edges of the Frame?

Hey guys,

What is the most simplest way to get a blur that is around the edges of the shot.

1:10 - 1:15

Is an example of what I am talking about.

Cheers Sam

Duplicate the video layer and place the duplicate ABOVE the base layer. Apply a gaussian blur effect. Either matte or use an alpha channel (created using the generator in FCP or as an image in Photoshop) and use it as a mask applied to the blurred channel.
