Matrox mini and 10.5.3?
i have spent some hours trying to find the answer i would like to hear... fruitlessly.
B&H lists OS 10.5.6 as required for the MXO2 mini, and the Matrox site says 10.5 for the Matrox MXO2 'family' and i cannot find specifics for the mini. i am stuck at 10.5.3 for my Pro Tools 7.4.2 version and would love to avoid having to spend more for the MXO2 LE or a Pro Tools 8 upgrade (along with the grief of potential inter-program/OS bugs-all my programs are playing nicely now!!!) ... soooooo: anyone using the Matrox MXO2 mini with 10.5.3 and final cut 6? thanks! |

Does Matrox answer the phone? I'd check direct with the source...
(800) 361-4903 in North America for the sales office, and I'd bet they could get you an answer quickly. |

Hi Brian
Have asked for clarification from the dev team ... will update the thread later if/when I get it, but hopefully you'll be able to contact them or hear back from them directly before then. Cheers Andy |

Brian,
The MXO2 family all use the same I/O and computing engine/firmware inside, it's just a matter of physical form factor and connectivity. Here's your answer: http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pd...o2_mac_faq.pdf All the MXO2 devices will work with 10.5 and later. |

i actually live in Burundi: 800 #'s don't work and phoning 2010 from the stone age is sketchy at best- and expensive!
i have posted on the Matrox user forum also, but i see Andy Mees is tech support there too! i will email Matrox support, but would still like to know is anyone is using this configuration... edit: email support is only for customers with registered products... |
