Saving Audio (.aiff) Files - how to save as stereo
I'm creating a stereo audio project in Soundtrack Pro and then exporting it as .aiff for import to my Final Cut timeline. Whenever I export, I end up with a file with 6 channels, in 5.1 format, but with data in just the front L and R channels. How do I tell Soundtrack Pro that I just want a stereo file?
Cheers, Nick |

Hi Nick
Open the audio project in STP that is producing this unwanted 5.1 export and check the Project tab's Properties section ... what does it report for Channels? Cheers Andy |

Hi Andy
Thanks for the lead - I found the answer! At the bottom of the Submix fader I needed to change the Output from surround to stereo or mono. Cheers, Nick |
