Multiclip Problem - Help!
Just shot a weekend of dance recitals using two cameras (Panasonic HMC-150 and Sony HDR-CX500V). I imported all clips as ProRes 422(HQ). I attempted to do a multiclip edit in FCP 7 but it is not letting me. I checked the video properties and see that the video files are different. I think this may be the issue, as I know they are supposed to be the same.
The main cam (HMC150) recorded 1080p30 1920x1080. The second (Sony) recorded in 1440x1080 and apparently is upper (odd) interlaced.?? Thought we had it set to full HD 1920x1080. Is there a good way to convert the Sony files to so I can use the multi-cam edit feature in FCP? Thanks! |

Use Compressor or drop the file on a sequence set to the standard you want to edit in and export it. I would do a few tests to see which way is better to go. 1920 to 1440 or the other way.
