Another text effect question
One thing I'm tying to do with my video is include inserts (which are coloured boxes as you will see in the video below) and in each box text will also appear. The plan is that these pop-up during the video to tell you the track names as you can see here (at 0.37s for example):
* YouTube - ministryofsoundclub's Channel * The coloured boxes have been sent to me by the client and these pop up in the video without problem. My question is how to lay the text (the track name) so it appears over the top of the coloured boxes (which in turn appear over the top of the video)? I'm sure it's something relatively straightforward but it's got me stumped at the moment. * Many thanks Tim |

Place your text layer ABOVE the layer that contains the graphical element they are to appear on top of. Done.

If your footage is on track 1 (Video 1) place your text on track 2(Video 2) as Shaun said on the track above and use your motion tab controls located in the viewer to manipulate the text like they have done in the clip you displayed.
