Image stabilization filter in FCP?
Simple question: Is there some type of image stabilization filter or plugin available for FCP? I have not seen anything like it.
Thanks, Kelly

In the FCP browser click on Effects > Video Filters > Video > Image Stabilizer.
I haven't used it but have read it can be somewhat effective. You can also enlarge the image somewhat and keyframe motion in the viewer to keep the image centered in the frame. I've done this with som success. You will need to select image+wireframe to do this. |

^^^hes right it does work but sometimes the footage is beyond repair meaning get a pair of sticks and lock it down LOL.... jk ive had a little succes with it some of the footage was so shakey that when countering the oppsite way resulted in black areas showing up around the edges of the frame. Goodluck hopefully your footage isnt that shakey

I had some old family footage that was pretty shaky, and used iStabilize
http://www.istabilize.de/ with fair results. Costs $59, easy to use. |
