Help with Music Video Effects
I have two questions.
1. I'm trying to figure out how to do an effect I've seen in several videos where the artist jumps making the screen jump or tremble. I'm assumming that the effect is acheived in post and not with camera movement during the shoot. 2. The other effect is when the screen slightly jumps out at you. Does anyone know how to do these effects? I'm using FCP 5 and Motion 2 or is it some sort of plugin I may need? Thanks, Reggie |

Reggie-
Both of these effect can be created using the motion tab in FCP for a clip. To make the clip "tremble" you can just play around with its center point (I would go ahead and enlarge the scale a bit so that you avoid seeing the background). To make a clip "jump" out at you just play with the scale to enlarge the clip. Play around with these while keyframing to get the effect that you are looking for. If you prefer, you can always send the clip over to motion and do it in real time using various behaviours, but in my experience its quicker to do it in FCP once you get the hang of it. Patrick |
