Suggestions for Color Correction or Encoding?
I've begun videotaping concerts for a local venue in Chattanooga, TN. I use three Canon HV40s, record the sound from the board, and edit in FCP7. I have Magic Bullet but do not use it for these concerts. Finally, I use Compressor 3.5 to encode. Here's the link below, plus the encoding specs. Does anyone have any recommendations to make the video sharper or better color? I have not been happy with the 3-way color corrector, because even the slightest adjustment to the lows blows them out. I know one of the problems is that the HV40 is not a prosumer camcorder and does not handle low light very well. The other question, about the sharpness - should I change my pixel ratio from default to square? That's the only thing I can think of that would make it pixelated like that (it's not terrible but I think it can be better). Thanks for any feedback!
