Out of Sync Audio

A client gave me several mini DV tapes to capture. Almost every shot has some broken timecode. I believe this is causing my captures to have audio out of sync. I've tried capturing using "Non Controllable Device." Which I've found can solve problematic tapes. Does anyone have a work-around? Thanks.

Transfer the tapes by FireWire to another DV deck and make sure the recording deck is recording it's own time code not regenerating the timecode from the original tapes. This way you have fresh, unbroken timecode.

So simple, thanks. Unfortunately I have 80 tapes. Better get started.
