Reel Breaks and the timeline
After much delay I'm getting very close to sending off a project to be professionally mixed. A first time for me, so a good learning curve. The people at the audio house have been very helpful. I'm pretty confident I've got it right but for one thing I can't figure out how to do.
They've asked for a sequence for each reel break with first frame of picture starting on the hour that corresponds to the reel number. Reel 2 at 02:00:00:00, Reel 3 at 03:00:00:00 and so on with appropriate black and 2 pop before and after. All good but for Reel 1. If first frame of picture for Reel 1 is to be at 01:00:00:00 how do I get the black and countdown before 01:00:00:00. I can't figure out how to start a time line at less than 01:00:00:00. Searches haven't helped. Hoping one of you can. I'm using FCP 7.01 if that makes any difference. Thanks |

Well, I certainly did all the other reels the hard way. Thanks Craig.
