Mov files from FC on Mac to Premier Pro on PC
I have a client that does not have a fast PC and wants files that I shot on the EX1 with Nano at 100Mbps to work on their machine. I purchased the new plug-in to have the files work but it crashes their machine.
So now they want SD files exported from Final Cut so they can edit them on the PC with Premier Pro. They will be small files on the web in the end. Advice needed since I have no experience exporting for a PC with PP. |

If it's WinXP, just make sure the files are in the DV codec and have the .mov extension in the file name. Recently I transferred some FCP files to a XP station with QuickTime installed and that was the only hitch.

So I set the timeline to DV/DVCPRO since that is the only DV-NTSC options. Also set 16:9 and dropped a clip on the timeline. Rendered and it looks nice at 720x486. Then I exported as Quicktime files a very short clips 2 sec. Now I have sent it out email to see if they can import into Premier Pro on a PC.
Waiting for their response. |
