Euphonix MC Transport Controller with FCP 6 and OSX 10.6? at DVinfo.net

I have been fighting this thing for days and getting nowhere. My main problem is the slow response to jog wheel rotation. I have a Dual Xeon Quad Core Mac Pro which is a reasonably fast machine. Prior to the Transport Controller I was using a Tascam FW-1082 in Mackie Emulation Mode, and the play head would follow jog wheel rotation at any speed. With the TC I'm luck to get 1 fps play head movement (more like 0.5fps), making useless for editing. Apparently those using FCP 7 and the TC in native EuCon communication protocol don't have this problem. I can't afford (or justify) updating to FCP-7 so I need to find a way to make the TC work with FCP-6 Either that or give up on the idea altogether. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
