Finishing for web upload
Yes, it's been awhile since I've been into working with FCP. I've created a text/image video in livetype that's under 3 min and am needing to get it uploaded to youtube. I need to know what's the best way to prepare it... compression, etc. to obtain the best quality and not have it take forever to upload. I performed a rather hasty export and tried to upload and it seemed as though it was going to take around 9hrs to upload. I've not been able to locate any clear answers as of yet here in this forum. Thanks

Hers are 4 settings I use for Utube and Vimeo.
H.264 is the most efficient. These are done in Squeeze but you could do them in Compressor or as QT export. |

FCP 7 has a handy exporter for Youtube now under the "Share" menu. The ftp is buggy but you can always go to the folder and upload it manually. I have been using it and it works very well.

Thanks
Thanks for all the info. I got the video up OK finally. Been out of the video loop for some time now. Good to be back here.
