Converting AVI 2 to Quicktime
A client wants to edit a video I captured as a DV AVI 2 on his mac. Is there a way to convert it without re-compressing? Using FCP6 I was able to import the avi without rendering but I got a warning that I should convert it. I used MPEGstream to save it as a quicktime but it re-compressed it.

That file format works just fine with FCP, I edit it all the time.
Just have him click the don't show again box in the warning window that comes up. |
