Exporting entire projects
I was wondering if there was a quick easy way to export an entire project (raw captured footage, all audio files, etc etc) into one folder on an external harddrive?

You can just use the finder to drag all the folders/fles to the destination on the external drive. Do you want to edit directly on this drive, or just archive your project? If you try to edit the footage (using another computer, for example), the first time you open the copied project FCP will probably complain that your clips are offline. But as soon as you "show" it where the files are it will be fine. Before doing anything with the project on the external drive, go to FCP's preferences and set your scratch disk for the external. Otherwise FCP will put its render and capture files on the computer's startup drive in your documents folder.
