OK, what exactly do you mean by the "green screen effect?"
Do you mean, "How do I use a green screen to composite my actor into a shot of The Great China Wall?" Much like how the weatherman is composited over a satellite map of the West Coast? That is a long, involved and tricky thing. But first, I want to know if that is what you were asking... |

Yeah, that's what i mean.
If you go to this: http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/...omerstory.html Apple shows how the advertising comany, Mekanism uses Motion for the "Green Screen" effect on their "Rock the Vote" campaign. If you notice, they added a lady wearing Jeans and a White T-shirt on the viewer of motion and the original background behind her was changed to the background that they made. That's what i'm looking for. Thx

Dv25 or ieee1394 dv ... the tools we use for 5:1 compressed video does not make this easy.
Check some reference material. Much of what you will learn will cover the 2 lit stages, the foreground and background. This is a long subject and requires much lighting and practice. Once your footage has been shot, you will need a decent program to extract the chroma key with a touch of luma key. Start with after effects. Experimentation and self paced tutorials will help. I think Wrigley video has a resource posted... |
