Effect in Motion
Hello all,
Just wondering how in Motion you guys would go about getting text to appear on the screen then have an object, person, etc. go infront of the text. If that made sense at all. I have a method now but it is weak, any thoughts? Thank you. Alex B

Do you mean as in a Chroma-Key application or as a smaller scaled layer moving in front of it?

I am not really sure what i need, but the layering that you were talking about, does that have to be done by say rotoscoping the object, or like 8 point matte or something to get the desired effect, or is there another way that i am totally missing?

You should be able to create a new layer add text and place it over the object/subject. Just hit F5 or fnF5 on a Powerbook and open up the layers guide and drag or create the layer over the top.
