upgrade
I want to get into fc pro and to save a few bucks I bought a copy of FC2 used... and then bought the upgrade to FC 4... they're on there way, so now I need some help.
FC 2 is not supported by OS X... all I want to do is to install it and then immediately install the FC 4 upgrade. I'm using an Imac g5.... What's the main challenges in doing this? Am I going to have to find a copy of OS 9 somewhere? Comments, suggestions would be great... thanks |

The G5 only boots OS 9 in classic mode...it cannot boot into OS9 directly. So unfortunately FCP 2 will not load nor work with your current system.
The good news is, when your FCP HD upgrade copy arrives, you can install it and all it requires of FCP 2 is it's serial number. The only thing is that you have to wait until it arrives before you can do any editing. |
