Uncompressed HD 10bit color correction with FinalTouch™ HD
There is a new product for sale at Red Giant Software allowing color correction of HD uncompressed 10bit 4:4:4 video in real-time... now if I just had a new camera and several thousand extra dollars... :-)

Unfortunately, even if I could afford this, it is Mac only. I am dying to test some stuff out on one of my servers at work (IBM x370 and x440, 32GB RAM each, 8 Xeon CPUs each with 2MB cache per CPU) --- they are blazingly fast and greatly underutilized and I'd love to see if there is a noticable performance boost --- though any software package will need to support multiple processors... I'm actually toying with the idea of partitoning and moving some of our City's public access capture and encoding processes to one of them.

Please don't feel too sorry for any of us poor PC users... ;-)

I don't, heh heh...Then again, there were, for the longest time, more options to edit native HDV.
