HDV 50i to 25p in Vegas
Hi guys
I need to know what settings to use to render 50i HDV footage in Vegas 5 to get each field as a frame to make it effectively 50fps? I realise that I will lose half the resolution, but I'll be downconverting to DV so that won't matter. Thanks heaps Tim |

I assume you want to do slow motion? Start a 25p (!) project and
load your footage to the timeline. Now right-click on the footage (on the timeline) and choose properties. Set the playback rate to 0.5 (instead of 1.0). You might also want to play with the settings for your project, specifically the de-interlacing options (blend versus interpolation, latter is probably best). If you right-click your footage on the timeline there is an option to reduce interlace flicker under the switches sub menu as well.
