Help for Snow Leopard failed updates
For those who attempt the Snow Leopard update and run into a brick wall of unresolvable problems:
Apple's retail licensing requires that all retailers remove outdated copies of the OS the night before the new one hits the shelves. Apple also will not offer the old OS once the new one has shipped. This could put some people in very precarious situations with their mission-critical work systems.
If you need to go back to 10.5.8 but no longer have any 10.5 discs (either retail copies or those that shipped with your machine) and nobody in your local area has any to borrow, send me an email and I'll be happy to send you a cloned disc with 10.5.4 (software update should take you up to .8 from there). Just cover the shipping costs (anything from snail-mail to FedEx Early-AM is available) and we'll get you back up and running quickly.
Godzilla has spoken.
