Capturing video files as text files

Hey Guys,

I've been having some real issues capturing my footage as Pro Res 422 since the upgrade to FCP 7.

My Issue:

When capturing footage from my XHA1, as Pro Res 422, all of my video files are captured as text files. They play fine, until I send them to Motion, and then I get a Media Offline message.

I have added .mov extensions and reconnected the files and all is good, but I'm wondering if I should have to do this, or if there is a box I have left unchecked? Shouldn't the files just capture as .mov's?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike Watkins
