Bizarre FCP Importing Phenominon.. HELP!
Hi All...
I am here shooting video for Relix Magazine in New York City. I am on an Apple Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 Tower, running Final Cut Pro Academic 6.0.5 with a Canon XH-A1 and a Canon HV20 camcorder. I have been using Final Cut for about 7 years now, and I consider myself somewhat apt at the ins and outs. The past 2 days at work, I have been getting stumped at the Log and Capture phase of things. Here's how the problem goes down: Log and Capture with no hitches, I am attempting to capture about 24 minutes straight of an in office music performance, using the HV20 as the tape deck. I set the ins and outs, batch capture. There are no time code drop outs throughout the import. But when the import finishes, there is no FCP prompt telling me "1 file successfully imported." The log and capture window just reappears, and the specific logged clip remains offline. I have replicated this multiple times, any ideas? This one is puzzling me... You all are rock stars! |

may have figured it out... but is there a limit to the length allowed for a batch capture on a single clip?
