Final Share/economical shared storage at DVinfo.net

Has anyone implemented anything like this shared storage solution that runs on ethernet?

It has been recommended as a much less expensive alternative to a $60K+ XSAN and I'd like to find out about trade-offs/hidden costs, especially from someone who's tried it or something similar.

Reports are very positive. You should read Walter Biscardi's article which covers in great detail his experience of converting his post house to use a Final Share SAN:

No, not personally Ben.. but its exactly what I would use if I were trying to put together a good SAN on a budget (and who isn't on a budget these days?)
