FCS 3 and Livetype

Hi all,

I have not yet installed the FCS 3 upgrade.. but thought I had read that Livetype was no longer part of the suite.. Does this mean when you install the upgrade that Livetype is deleted ?? or does it still hang around ??

Thanks !!

From what I understand, everything that was in LiveType is now in Motion, so you do all that there. All the fonts, FX, etc., and even more control and options since it's Motion.

I never used LiveType nor Motion so I can't comment how it runs. But since more and more companies want all-in-one editors and graphics artists, time for me to learn. For years I worked for companies that had editors and graphic artists, and we always worked well on getting projects done. Those days are over and now it's all-in-one.

Livetype v2.1.3 remains in the Application folder after the Final Cut Studio 3 upgrade and it still functions as usual.
Livetype presets and fonts have always been available in Motion (2 and up) but the Livetype interface might seem much simpler to use for the casual user who may be unfamiliar with Motion, but ultimately they function the same way.

Tim,

Great to know, man. I know a lot of people who love LiveType so they'll be pleased.

Mitchell,

I'm a little confused about what you're saying, can you explain?
