clip browser vs XDCAM Transfer

I just want to be perfectly clear about this. When bringing clips into FCP from EX3 - do I have anything whatsoever to do with clip browser? i,e, do I use XDCAM Transfer only and simply forget about clip browser?

If you only plan on using the media in FCP then the answer is yes, you only need to use XDCAM transfer.

If you want to copy the original files with the folder structure intact then it is useful to use Clip Browser. It is safer than just using finder to copy/paste files. The software has CRC checking to make sure the data copied is bit-for-bit accurate.
