1-2 hours for a 5 minute Quicktime file export?
I have FCP2, a brand new top of the line MacBookPro and yet it takes 1-2 hours for a Quicktime export? Now, it is HD (1080) but is this normal for a 5 minute video?
Just wondering.... |

There are a number of reasons for why such an export could take that long - including the method in which you are exporting (Quicktime Export or Quicktime Conversion), if using Conversion - the parameters used in the target subcodec within the Quicktime wrapper, the speed of the drive to which you are exporting, and whether or not any of the content you are exporting has yet to be properly rendered, if necessary.
