Compressor can't start queu
Lately when exporting using compressor it tells me it can't statt the process "Pleaase restart your computer or verify your installation is correct."
Has anyone encountered this before and have a remedy. Restarting doesn't help. |

That's usually the case when the OS or directory structure needs a good cleaning. Download and run Onyx for your version of OSX and use ALL it's cleaning and maintenance routines. If that doesn't clear your problem get a copy of DiskWarrior and fix your directory.
If either of those apps don't get you fixed up you might have a hardware-related problem such as memory addressing. Let us know what happens. |

Thanks. I eventually surrendered to the idea that my directory was screwed up (I recently had to re-install the OS). I scrubbed FC off the hard drive and re-installed it. Hopefully that did the trick. I'll know later today.

That's overkill and a lot of wasted time. Get a copy of DiskWarrior and use it in combination with Onyx to troubleshoot issues like this in the future.
It's also a good idea to run both those apps on a regular basis to keep things "tuned up" and running smoothly - once a month is a good routine. But of the two, DiskWarrior is by far worth it's weight in gold - platinum even, you should consider that your life-line to serious OS and directory issue-fixing. |
