Copying individual clips (shooting with EX1)
Hey, I have a very basic question... I did a shoot as a "b" camera with my EX1 and in between takes I did some behind-the-scenes stuff. They only want the real shots so I went into my BPAV file, under CLPR, to remove the clips I didn't need. That doesn't seem to work, as now the clips show "no codec" on each clip in XDCAM Transfer. Is there a simple, quick way to select individual clips from the folder and copy them? Gracias.

Connect you EX1 to your Mac using a USB cable. Turn the camera on to Media. The camera will ask if you want to connect using USB. Select "yes". In FCP use "Log and Transfer" instead of Log and Capture. You can preview each individual clip. Drag the clips down to the Queue. It will now only transfer the files that you select and put them into your project folder.

I would suggest using XDCAM Clip Browser. Just select only the clips you want, then drag them to a folder on your hard drive. The software will create a new BPAV folder with only those clips you selected.
Come on Buck, you should know better!! ;) (good to see you on the editing forums!)
