Converting mono audio into stereo in FCP
I went out and recorded some video, but accidentally in mono. How can I convert this into stereo in FCP? The audio component has two tracks, so one is obviously empty.
Also, I was stood a bit too far away from the microphone and the audio does sound a little distant, is there any way of making it sound a bit richer? Thanks. Last edited by James Collins; May 28th, 2009 at 07:19 AM. |

Most audio editing apps have a "mono-to-stereo" filter that can create a false-stereo track, Peak comes to mind as an app that can pull that off in a few clicks.
As far as "fixing" distant audio that's a bit trickier. I'd suggest having the moderator move this thread to "all things audio"and have our resident audio experts respond. We've all had to deal with this issue but it's best to "hear" from the experts on this one. |
