Possible to capture SD into FCP6.0.4 w/o Timecode?
Hello,
I'm hoping someone here has an answer to this. Is it possible to capture footage shot SD in a Canon XLH1 into FCP 6.0.4 via a MacBook Pro? My Firewire jack seems to not be working. I've tried to use a device called a Hollywood DV-Bridge from a company called Dazzle. FCP sees the video but won't do the capture because it doesn't see the timecode. I'm connecting to the DV-Bridge from the RCA outputs on the side of the camera. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm under a deadline to edit a project and can't capture the footage. Also... Will SVHS transmit timecode with a+v? Thanks, Mario |

You could try this:
In "Audio/Video Settings" under "Device Control Preset" select "non-controllable device". |
