How do I reverse an image in FCP?
Hello folks,
I'd like to thank everyone in advance for any help with this. I'm hoping someone can help with this question. I'm trying to find a way of reversing a video clip in FinalCut Studio so that what was shot on the left hand side of the image gets flipped so that it appears on the right hand side of the frame. I have attached two images to illustrate what I mean by flipping the image (just in case my explanation was confusing). Thank you, Mario A. Salinas |

Go to Video Effects - Perspective - 'Flop'.
Is this what you mean? |

Open the clip, then go to its Motion tab. Expand the Distort section - you will see coordinates for each corner of the image. The left column is the X values and the right, Y. Just reverse the sign for each of the X values, so it ends up with this:
Upper Left a -b Upper Right -a -b Lower Right -a b Lower Left a b This will flip the image horizontally. N |
