Keyboard/mouse problems in FCP
For some odd reason, when I right click the close gap and paste options are grayed out. Control G doesn't seem to work either. I don't use many keyboard functions (I'm a very, very basic user) but J, K and L work. The right click close gap option has worked in the past.
Any idea why it might not be working now? I'm on a Macbook Pro with an apple keyboard plugged in. I know things can get a little hinky on the laptop as opposed to a desktop. Do I need to adjust some setting somewhere? Thanks, B |

If it just started happening all the sudden try trashing your preferences. What version of FCP are you using?

It depends on teh context when you right click: if you are unable to close gap due to clip collisions and the like, you won't see it as an option on a right click. Have you perhaps trimmed video and still have audio that begins before the video that is linked? That will do it as well.
