Ordered: MacPro

Well I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new MacPro. No, not the new 'Nehalem' but the 'old' MacPro. (After reading some of the posts on here, I decided it wasn't worth it.)

Dual quad-core, 2.8ghz... 4gb RAM, etc... all that jazz. Next I'll instal FCStudio and upgrade to FCS2.

My question: Will I miss my dual 2.3ghz PowerMac at all?

In a word: no. :-)

Only if you're nostalgic...

Every now and again I miss my Blue and White G3 450... then I reload and fire again!

I stopped missing my dual 2.5 G5 after I got a 2.4ghz MacBook pro. Good thing too, because one morning the G5 was completely DOA with no warning. Has been sitting in the corner gathering dust ever since then...

I dunno, do you miss 8-track tape or leaded gas? (laughs) No way, you'll be feeling shiny when you first boot up the machine.

You'll only miss that late night cup of coffee because all-nighters will be going away...

MacPro came into today. Taking the next 2.5+ hours to install FCS...

Also found that I clicked the wrong thing when ordering from B&H. It has 6gb of RAM, not 4gb.

Poor, pitiful me!
