VideoPier multi file importer?
An outfit in France - Aquafadas - has something called VideoPier that claims to import all the odd files that FCE/P and iMovie will not. Anyone using it? ...and how? I am not sure from the Info what it really does... Thanks.

Here's your answer:
"While VideoPier is mainly targeted at users that have a standard definition camcorder (recording on SD cards, DVD, HardDrive), VideoPier HD adds the ability to capture from tape based HDV camcorders. VideoPier HD speaks with Final Cut and lets you export your HD clips in a format that is ready for editing." If you have a current version of FC then this program would be redundant; it's targeted use is for iMovie users. |

Thanks Robert. I use both FCE and iM'09. The only real PIA for my Macs is a Panasonic SD9 with it's .MTS files. Log and Transfer is the only way I can bring them onboard. I like iM because I mainly use 90sec clips for product support or testing some notion - fast 'n easy. Thanks again. Cheers.
