Paint Drip Transition?
I have a client editing a video about an artist and she wants what she is calling a "paint drip transition".
Anyone know of such a transition for FCP? Thanks. Kevin Jones |

Check out ebay.
Search Video Toaster Watch out for the falling sheep. Or go outside. Take some black paint. And a piece of white foamcore. Roll camera, drip paint until all the white is gone. Take the resulting video and apply a Luma key. Bingo. |

You could always use a Gradient Wipe transition:
Creating a gradient wipe: Tutorial Paint -Transition Matte HD - VideoHive There's also a rockin' free font called "WC Rhesus A Bta" that's composed entirely of paint-like spatters. WC Rhesus A Bta Font | dafont.com You could quickly animate a few of these spatters using the Text generator in a Sequence (white on black), then use the "Travel Matte - Luma" Composite Mode to reveal your incoming clip. It would end up laid out on the timeline like this: |
