new MBP 17" is a dream to edit on

got 8gb ram, HD screen, fast processor and big fast hard drive. Editing on the road has never been this good!!

Good to hear; I've been curious about replacing my mid 2008 with the "pretty boy" 17" inch (as I've heard it being called).

Could you elaborate on specs: what CPU speed, which HDD? Did you get the SSD or a 7200RPM HDD?
