Capture issues
I usually shoot with a Sony Z7U or FX-1 and capture with my Canon HV 20/30 with no issues. I'm currently trying to capture a tape in Final Cut, but it keeps stopping and telling me that the tape has reached its ends. It hasn't and I just start it back up and it continues to capture for a few minutes before stopping again. Does anyone know why this is doing this?

Try a different deck control preset in the Capture settings. (that's the only think I can think of) Or worst case, choose "Non-Controllable Device" and manually start/stop your deck.

I switched over to the HV30 and things seemed to work fine again. The HV20 hasn't given me any problems in the past, but it still wants to break things up into multiple clips. Strangely enough, this didn't happen when I captured a tape with it in Vegas.
