Compressor 3 Batch Exporting
Well I am in a little bit of a quandary...I have approx. 100-120 HDV clips that I have recorded in a .mov format...I have transferred the clips and they are ready to edit....but I am trying to edit HDV where it doesn't just hammer my processors; therefore I have decided to convert those .mov files into ProRes Editing Codec since HD space is not an issue for me...
I know I can do it using MPEG Streamclip but i really don't have the patience to bring each and every single clip.....so I have decided to see if there is a way to "batch export" using Compressor 3.....Is there a way? If so, can someone please tell me about the workflow? Thank you |

1) Create a custom setting that will convert to ProRes
2) Select all your footage and drag them into Compressor 3) With all your footage still selected in Compressor drag your custom setting onto your selected footage. The setting will be applied to all your clips. 4) Submit 5) Wait a VERY long time. :)
