ram
Luke,
4 GB of ram should be plenty for running Motion. I can speak for Magic Bullet though because I don't use it. If I'm not mistaken Motion's performance is linked more to your graphics card than ram. Are you using a G5 or a Mac Pro? What graphics card are you using? |

More than RAM a Mac Pro will make all the difference. Today's apps and OS X are optimized for Intel machines, not PPC. Also a faster graphics card, older G5s typically have fairly slow ones compared to what's out today. But again, an older G5 won't be able to use the latest cards anyways... so

its the graphics card, not ram that powers motion. you'll find it runs out of gas pretty quick once more then a couple layers are invovled.
